English Corner: Respect Others and Yourself

English Corner: Respect Others and Yourself
By Yuqi Huang
On the evening of June 22, Ms. Rebecca Reel attended the last English corner of this term.
First of all, a student asked Rebecca about how she felt when the students were absorbed in their smart phones in class. She told them that she found out the problem as well. What was worse, some students would talk to the person next to them like nobody was watching. She said she once talked to her friend with a louder and louder voice in public. And it caused worry for others. So she would warn the students to be quiet. Last but not least, Rebecca voiced her opinion about the examination system of the school. She thought most of the exams may not be so fair for the students who were not feeling their best in the exam because they had only one chance to take the exam. But somehow, she thought a college student should take their responsibilities for his action as an adult. So neither using smart phones in class nor cheating in exams was acceptable.
It was hoped that all students got good grades in the coming final exams.
