讲师。本科毕业于湖南大学外国语学院英语专业（翻译方向），随后保送到中山大学外国语学院英语语言文学专业读研。05年3月参加英语专业八级考试，成绩为“优秀”。07年2月开始在北师大珠海分校实习，同年9月正式成为外国语学院英语教师至今。主讲课程有：汉译英，科技英语，英汉互译，求职英语，大学英语等。学生眼中的我是一个认真、负责、平易近人的老师。

研究方向：翻译理论与实践，语篇分析

本人热衷于翻译，本科期间曾参加湖南卫视全国翻译大赛，由于表现较好而受聘担任“2004湖南—欧盟中小企业合作伙伴洽谈会”翻译。硕士期间曾参与中大王东风教授的翻译项目（汉译英），译文受到审稿老师好评。硕士论文成功地将语篇分析与翻译相结合，即用系统功能语法的衔接理论来研究歌词翻译中对衔接手段的处理技巧。曾发表论文《不定式与形容词搭配的及物性分析》在《科技信息》2009年第3期。

除了翻译，本人还喜欢体育运动，如打羽毛球（打得不是很好），跑步和定向越野。本科期间，本人在定向越野比赛中曾几次获奖，大概是由于有着较好的方向感（朋友们都这么说）。此外，我还喜欢看书，听音乐和看电影。

Li Xiaoying got her Master’s Degree from Sun Yat-Sen University, and her Bachelor’s Degree from Hunan University. Both degrees are in English Language and Literature. She took the Test for English Majors—Band 8 and obtained a high score. Given her outstanding performance in undergraduate studies, Li Xiaoying was admitted by the Graduate School of Sun Yat-Sen University without taking the National Entrance Examination. She has been teaching at BNU since she got her M.A in 2007. The courses she has taught include Chinese-English（CE）Translation, English for Science and Technology, EC and CE Translation, College English, etc. Her students see her as an earnest, responsible and easy-going teacher.

Li Xiaoying is keen on translation. She was in the translation class in college. She once took part in a national interpretation competition and was employed as a translator in the “2004 Hunan-EU Small and Medium Enterprises Fair” owing to her impressive performance in the competition. She didn’t give up translation during the graduate period, though she was not in the program of translation studies. She took every course available on translation and was one of the team members of Professor Wang Dongfeng’s translation project. It’s worth noting that her translation was highly spoken of. Besides, she attempted to combine discourse analysis with translation studies and fulfilled her M.A dissertation titled A Contrastive Study of Cohesion in English-Chinese Parallel Texts of Song Lyrics. She has also published a paper on Systemic Functional Grammar. In recent years, Li Xiaoying has continued her effort on translation and teaching translation. She wishes to achieve a higher level both in translation practice and studies, and teaching translation.

In addition, Li Xiaoying also loves sports, such as badminton (but not a good player), jogging and orienteering. She won several prizes in orienteering in college years, maybe thanks to her good sense of direction, as many friends said so. Other personal interests may include reading, music and movies.
