Translation Brief: Five companies will launch the English versions of their official websites. They ask you to translate their slogans/ads into English. Note: Your translation versions will be evaluated by the teacher and some English native speakers.

3. 牙膏有营养，牙齿好喜欢。（纳爱斯牙膏）

4. 格力—掌握核心科技。(格力电器）

5. 愉悦一刻，更享丝滑。（德芙巧克力）

Answer the questions after you complete the translation:

1. What principles do you think should be followed in translating Chinese slogans into English?

2. What steps did you follow in translating the slogans?

3. What problems or difficulties did you run into when translating the Chinese slogans into English? How did you tackle them?

4. What resources did you use in translating the slogans?

Requirements:

1. Each student is to translate the ads and answer the 4 questions. The translations and answers should be uploaded here. The team members can make comments on any of the translations.

2. All the team members discuss face to face or via WeChat or QQ and come up with the final version for each of the slogans. Discussion records should be uploaded here or sent to qlxiexm@126.com. The final translation versions of the team should be uploaded here.

3. The final versions translated by other teams will be posted here. The team members are welcome to make comments.
